Product Warranty for Surron in Australia

RETURN POLICY

All Surron products purchased from Panmi and its Authorised Resellers (‘Authorised Reseller’) are covered under 12-month warranty unless specified.  The return policy to the extent permissible under Australian Consumer Law (‘ACL’). Customers should contact the Authorised Reseller from which they purchased the product to receive warranty procedure instructions.

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY

Panmi warrants to the original purchaser that the product shall be free from defects (‘Limited Product Warranty’).  Panmi and its Authorised Resellers are not responsible for damage arising from the consumer’s failure to follow the provided instructions relating to the use of the product. This Limited Product Warranty applies to all products purchased from Panmi and its Authorised Resellers for 12-months (different for each product) from the date of receipt of shipment (‘Limited Product Warranty Period’).

Storm Bee

Storm Bee is not recommended for professional tournaments.

 Duration: 12 months (24 months for battery only) from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Applies to: Storm Bee All Terrain (R), Storm Bee Enduro (E)

Off-road used motorcycles but not used in Competition:

Duration: 6 months from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Applies to: Storm Bee Enduro (E), Storm Bee Off-Road (F)

Competition motorcycles or any other SURRON models use in Competition:

Duration: 30 days from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Applies to: Storm Bee Enduro (E), Storm Bee Off-Road (F)


Light Bee

Duration: 12 months from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Applies to: Light Bee L1E, Light Bee X, Light Bee S

Off-road used motorcycles but not used in Competition:

Duration: 6 months from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Applies to: Light Bee X and Light Bee S

Competition motorcycles or any other SURRON models use in Competition:

Duration: 30 days from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Applies to: Light Bee X Version, Light Bee S Version

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This Limited Product Warranty provides additional protection and is the preferred method of assisting customers as we have optimised it to be a more structured and efficient approach to resolving any issues, subject to the terms and exclusions below.

Modifications:

Surron and Panmi do not support modifications to Surron bikes. Modifications made to any electrical parts will void the warranty.
Alterations and installation of parts that are not Sur-ron parts or supplied as original equipment are not covered by warranty. Sur-ron will not take any responsibilities for any problems arising from modifications, alterations or aftermarket replacement on the following parts (including but not limited to): battery, motor, controller, throttle, transmission system, suspension system and brake system etc.

Following is the potential risk that may be cause by the above modifications:

1. Modified controller: It may cause the bike system failure, battery discharge failure, motor overheating and demagnetization, loss of various diagnostic and protection functions.

2. Modified battery: it may cause the controller failure, motor malfunctions. It may even cause serious injury or damage property.

Any power system modification that has not been authorised by Sur-ron may cause wheelset failure, transmission system overload, brake system overload and even bike frame failure.

COVERAGE AND APPLICATION

If a hardware defect is found subject to a valid claim lodged with the authorised reseller within the Limited Product Warranty Period, we will either: 

  • Repair the product at no charge for the original purchaser, using new or refurbished replacement parts; or
  • Replace the product with a new or refurbished product; or refund the product.

 

Shipping and handling charges may apply except subject to the ACL.

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE

This Limited Product Warranty does not apply to any damage caused in the following circumstances:

  1. Damage caused by nature or acts of God, for example, lightning strikes, cyclones, and the like. 
  2. Negligent or incorrect use of the product. 
  3. Commercial use of the product. 
  4. Unauthorised modifications to any part of the product. 
  5. Damage caused by use with non-Surron products. 
  6. Damage caused by negligence, accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, or other external causes. 
  7. Damage caused by operating the Product outside the permitted or intended uses described by the manufacturer’s instructions provided by Surron or with improper voltage or power supply.
  8. Damage caused by servicing of the product (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not authorised by Panmi to perform such services; or 
  9. Damage caused by natural wear and tear. 

No Panmi reseller, agent, or employee is authorised to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Limited Product Warranty. 

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

This Limited Product Warranty does not apply to any damage caused in the following circumstances:
